Please read through our Terms and Conditions before making a purchase on our website. Chickengearís Terms and Conditions are here to protect you, our customer and to ensure we run our business in an effective and efficient manner. Nothing contained within these stated Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights.
Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of our products on Chickengear. Manufacturers and Brand names are only used for identification purposes. Product photos, descriptions and prices are non-contractual.
Payment for Goods
Buying items on our website is easy, just add the selected item/items to your shopping cart. Once you have finished your shopping just go to our secure online checkout. You will then be asked to register your details and make a payment or if you are a returning customer will be asked to log in and make a payment.
We accept payment by all major credit/debit cards and Paypal. If you would like to make a telephone order please call 01202 237606 and payment can be made with a debit/credit card.
We will not dispatch goods until payment has been received. We may refuse to supply goods if there are payment discrepancies.
DeliveryOur delivery charges are based on the weight of order and the delivery location, prices range from £3.99 upwards delivered to the UK mainland. All delivery options and charges will be shown once you have added products to your shopping cart, signed in or if you are a new customer registered. Orders will be delivered to the address specified on the order. We also please ask that you provide us with a telephone number should we need to contact you. When placing an order online we always try to deliver as soon as possible at the lowest possible price. Items are usually dispatched within 2-3 working days. If an item is not in stock we will contact you explaining this and give you a revised delivery date.We offer several types of delivery methods to England, Wales and Lowland Scotland:
We use a Parcel Courier on a 1-2 working day service but dispatch times can take 2-3 working days. (Therefore allow 5 working days for delivery)
We also use a Parcel Courier Service for bulky parcels or multiple parcels on a 1-2 working day service but dispatch times can take 2-3 working days. (Therefore allow 5 working days for delivery).
On occasion we may use Royal Mail for delivery of small items.We also use a specialised pallet company for heavy/bulky orders. This option will be displayed upon checkout. Please allow 5-6 working days for this service.
Signature is required on delivery. Please note that if delivery is to Isle of Wight or Northern Ireland delivery may take 5-7 working days.
We can offer delivery to Scotland (Islands and highlands), Scillies, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and the Isle of Wight. If you require delivery to anywhere in the above mentioned areas click here to contact us and provide the items you would like and the delivery address. We can then work out your postage costs.
We also offer a £5.00 set delivery fee for selected BH Postcodes for orders weighing above 2kg excluding delivery of hutches, runs and coops. For orders weighing less than 2kg there will be an option to have your parcel delivered by courier or Royal Mail, this price will calculated on check out and will be less than £5.00. If you require next day delivery or your items urgently please click here contact us and provide us with your address and items you would like to order and we can give you the cost for the delivery option you require.
All products leave our premises in perfect condition. The customer must notify the carrier or postman of even the slightest trace of damage (holes, signs of crushing, etc.) to the parcel, and refuse the package if necessary. A new, identical product will then be sent to the customer at no additional charge.
No exchanges can be made at a later time for goods claiming to be damaged during carriage without notification at the time of reception.
We use Royal Mail, UK Mail and My Hermes for our deliveries but do reserve the right to use another courier if appropriate. We shall not be held responsible for delayed delivery times due to the carrier, including loss of goods, bad weather or strikes.
Delivery costs are for UK only. If shipment is required for outside the UK please contact us directly for a quote.
In accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations 2000, the customer has the right to a cooling off period of 7 business days, starting at the time the goods are received, to cancel the contract and return said goods at their own expense without giving a reason. If you wish to return your goods please contact us within 7 days and return the items at your own expense to the following address:

Only complete and unused goods in perfect condition for resale will be accepted. No refunds will be made for incomplete, damaged or unsealed goods, including damage to original packaging. Chickengear will make every effort to refund the customer within 30 days. However we will not refund our postage costs.
Here at Chickengear we are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. We do not pass on your details to any third party and all personal data you provide us is used to process your orders. This data will be treated in accordance with the Data Protection principles outlined in the Data Protection Act 1988.
